We don’t currently ship outside of the UK but it is one of our future goals…
The short answer is yes! The long answer is that if you want that special someone to actually receive it (within a reasonable amount of time) it is often quicker and easier to have the order sent to a UK address first and then send it on from there (via the post office - can’t beat speaking to an actual person). We have had many orders returned (after several months) from trying to ship straight to BFPO addresses (computer says no… )
You should be able to swipe left and click the red ‘delete’ or ‘X’ button next to the product you want to remove. You will see the option 'Remove' against each product line.
Try resetting your password with the ‘forgot your password’ link. If you’re still having snags get in touch.
We only store essential information for order history purposes (including name and address). We use a PCI compliant payment system, payment details are never saved when entered by our customers. We use only secure systems such as stripe payments, paypal, google pay and apple pay based systems.
If your package has arrived in an unacceptable condition, we can only apologise for this. We believe every order should reach you in the same condition it leaves our roastery.
If your order has arrived in poor condition/damaged please get in contact with us straight away. We pride ourselves on delivering only the highest standards of coffee and service, so if anything’s wrong or not to the required standard, then we’ll do our best to resolve it.

Straight after coffee has been roasted, the beans start to release CO2. This process is called ‘degassing’. Some people believe that coffee tastes better after around 10 days of degassing (most specialty coffee shops usually only serve coffee thats spent about a week degassing).
The most important point to note is that it is completely subjective as to whether this is true. Some people prefer to drink their coffee straight after it has been roasted. Most degassing occurs in the first 24 hours after coffee has been roasted, and darker roasts degas quicker.
Once you’ve finished a bag of our coffee it’s fine to pop into the recycling bin. Our coffee bags are recyclable (check the bottom), as are our mailing bags (which are also made from recycled materials).
You don’t need to store it in the fridge! You can keep your coffee fresh by simply storing it out of direct sunlight somewhere cool (room temperature is fine). For best results try to get as much air out of the bag as possible before sealing it).
Once you’ve received it, you’ll see the date it was roasted written on the package. We recommend you enjoy it within 4-6 weeks of that date if it’s ground coffee or 2-3 months for wholebean. It depends how well its stored
After that date, your coffee won’t 'go off', or ‘go bad’ necessarily but the quality does tend to deteriorate over time (this process happens more quickly for ground coffee).
Our Colombian decaf coffee beans actually start out as our normal Colombian coffee beans which are then sent for decaffeination straight away using either the CO2 method or the Sugar Cane method before being sent to us ready for roasting. This ensures it is super fresh when it reaches you.
The answer to this depends on what is meant by the term ‘strongest’. Are you looking for a strong taste, or a lot of caffeine? Generally speaking light roasts have the most caffeine, this is because caffeine is lost during the roasting process. The idea of a dark roast being strong is a bit of marketing nonsense really.
Darker roasts are often associated with the strong coffee taste of bitterness, burnt toast and cinnamon - but they tend to have less caffeine because they have been roasted longer. In an effort to offer a solution for people who want the strong coffee taste with the maximum amount of caffeine we have two options:
1. The Bomb - this is 100% Speciality Robusta. Robusta coffee beans are typically less aromatic and slightly more bitter and smokey than Arabica coffee beans. The Bomb is maximum caffeine, maximum strong coffee taste.
2. Unseen Strength - this is our own blend of Speciality Arabica and Robusta beans. This gives the coffee a taste of caramel sweetness with a high dose of caffeine. Perfect to be enjoyed as a pre-workout espresso!
We are not doctors, however there are a lot of studies and there is a growing amount of information out there for people who are interested in caffeine and its effect on sleep. Coffee (and caffeine) has many benefits but can impact sleep negatively. For more information search for “Dr Matt Walker - caffeine” on youtube. Summary for those who don’t want to watch it - stop drinking caffeine (of any type) 10 hours before bed.
The short answer is yes. The long answer is that it can vary - around 97% of the caffeine is removed in the decaffeination process but the key thing to remember is that decaf coffee still does contain caffeine.
Our decaf (which is actually our normal Colombian coffee but with most of the caffeine removed) still contains a small amount of caffeine. If you are pregnant limit caffeine to 200mg per day and/or if you have a health concern relating to caffeine please visit: https://www.nhs.uk/search/results?q=caffeine for more information about how much caffeine you should intake.
If you're using a cafetiere a good starting point is to aim for a ratio of around 60g of coffee per 1 litre of water... if this is still too weak increase by 5g until it tastes bang on the money.
If you’re using a V60 (or similar)... for one cup... a good starting point is to use 15g... and for a few cups 30g is good to begin with… again, if its still too weak for your liking, increase by 2g until you find that sweet spot
